Meet our Fantastic Instructors!

Rob Leong - Owner

I am a violinist and violist from Fredericksburg, Virginia. I grew up in Spotsylvania County where I picked up violin in highschool. I’ve been playing for about 15 years. I attended West Virginia University for my undergraduate in violin performance and studied under Dr. Mikylah Myers, and in 2021, I graduated from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music for my masters in viola performance where he was in the studio of Mark Holloway.

After graduating, I returned to Fredericksburg to work at the WM Mason II Violin shop in downtown Fredericksburg. I also am a former member of the Fredericksburg Symphony Orchestra; through both, I participated in outreach programs in public and city schools where I assisted their orchestras. I took over as the owner of the Sound Post in April of 2023, where I taught violin and viola privately.

In 2025, I moved to Hamamatsu, Japan, where I currently teach English at an after-school music program. Here, I enjoy playing violin and viola through collaborations with locals and friends.
